Grade 3 and 4 Open and Junior, Grade 5 junior events plus Mini Red, Orange & Green together with Seniors tennis
Donna and Graham, Sian and Jess as fully qualified tennis referees have between us nearly 45 years worth of experience as referee's running junior adult and vets tennis tournaments. Jess has been through the US university system on a tennis scholarship is a fully qualified Level 4 coach. Donna is a referee qualified to run Grade 2 tournaments. Between us we are Tennis Solutions and we use the two venues at David Lloyd in Bristol together with Thornbury Tennis Club and Taunton School. In addition during the summer months we referee at The Redland Green Club, Bristol andTorquay Tennis Club.
If you’re looking for Grade 3 Events
, Tennis Solutions
run a Christmas Grade 3
tournament immediately after Boxing Day at both the David Lloyd Clubs in Bristol. In the February half term we run a week long event, again spanning the two David Lloyd Clubs in Bristol. At the end of May we organise the Grade 3 at The Redland Green Club
which runs during the Spring half term, from the attractive outdoor venue in Redland, Bristol. In August Donna referees the Torbay Open
(arguably the largest Grade 3 in the Country). All these Grade 3's have Open events attached to them.
We also host an Open Masters Series
which incredibly now in its 14th Series, with the 15th Series now approaching during the Spring/Summer. Details of these events can be found on the Masters
page on this website. Many of these tournaments in the Series are Grade 3's and are run over a weekend and they aim to give as many as four matches to each player (win or lose), generally in a two way draw format. The compass draw and the long sets format for the men's A draw is deliberate and is for those players who are genuinely interested in playing tennis over the weekend. Our interest is simply to give players as much tennis over the weekend as possible. This year we are running Express Masters tournaments which are open Grade 4's which will be completed on one day with the draw and format dependant upon entry size. With advent of Fast4 it is now possible to accommodate as many as 16 players in a draw. The hope is that Express Masters may attract the more mature player back to competition tennis.
For those male Vets (or Seniors) of 45 years and 55 years and over, we run a midweek Legends
Series of two day events at either Grade 3 or Grade 4 level during the winter months. If it's Mini Red, Orange or Green
you’re looking for, then Tennis Solutions
offer events either linked to the junior Grade 3’s or as otherwise advertised on this website as Grade 4 or 5 events.
We look forward to seeing you soon because if it's tennis events you are looking for, regardless of standard, it's highly likely we can supply something to suit your requirements.
