This legends series of events is for men over 50 and offers the opportunity of singles play with the possibility of improving ranking, rating or simply to be able to play competitive singles.  We are hopeful that many of the players who enter may also use the opportunity of meeting fellow player socially or re-kindle acquaintances in the relaxed atmosphere of the David Lloyd club of perhaps later during the evening.   

 

The Legends 50 + series consists of a number of Grade 4 events, with possible Grade 5 and even Grade 6 over-spills, and will mostly be held on a Thursday and Friday.  Each draw will most likely consist of a maximum of 8 players and provided the draws are full they will be based upon a two way draw with three matches for each player (although in some instanes we may ask players to play four matches).  Clearly if there are withdrawals of if the draw is not full for any reason we may be unable to offer players three matches, although that is always our intention.  With the possibility of three draws we are hoping eventually to fill up to 24 spaces per tournament should there be sufficient demand.  The organisers reserve the right to insert one wild card in any draw.  First matches will normally be held around 12.30 pm on the Thursday with two more matches on the Friday commencing around 11.30 am.  The events will be played indoors on carpet at the David Lloyd Centre in Ashton, Bristol.  

 

Entries will normally close at 12 midnight 10 days prior to the start date of each event (but see the LTA website for precise details) and will be accepted on a highest rating first basis followed by ranking*.  In the event of players having equal ratings but identical rankings or no rankings, then the date of entry will determine precedence.  After the closing date we will most likely continue to accept entries either to complete the Grade 4 draw (if it is incomplete) or to place the overspill into a linked Grade 5 or possible Grade 6 draw.  For late entries please phone or e-mail on 07710 402715 or dbudd1023@aol.com .  Players in the B draw may at the referee's discretion be invited into the A draw should there be late withdrawals and likewise with the C draw.  Late entries can use the “Pay Now” button below to make payment.

   

Entries to any of the LegendsSeries events can be made online through the LTA main website with electronic payment through PayPal.  The entry fee is £26 but please note that it is non refundable after the withdrawal date regardless of the reason. 

 

The draws for each event and first match timings will appear on a link on the front page shortly before each event or you can go directly to the LTA website.  We will however e-mail you with your start time but we do ask you to reply to the e-mail so that we know you have seen it.
