Tennis Solutions and David Lloyd
Tennis Masters Series 2009/10
Tennis Solutions in association with David Lloyd at Ashton, Bristol hereby announce the inaugural Tennis Masters Adult Series event starting in October 2009.
This offers the opportunity for men or ladies (1991 birthdays and older only for men 1995 birthdays and older for ladies) to play singles tennis with the possibility of improving your ranking, rating or simply to be able to play competitive singles.
The series will consist of 5 weekend events and will be based on a 16, two way draw over each weekend and will be played indoors on carpet at the David Lloyd Centre in Ashton, Bristol
Subject to the draw being complete, players would expect to play four matches over the weekend. Points will be allocated to each competitor dependant on where they finish at the conclusion of the weekend. The winner will receive 16 points, the runner up 15 and so on. In addition 5 points will also be allocated to each competitor for playing during a weekend provided they have completed all their scheduled matches. The points tally will appear on our website at
www.tennissolutions.co.uk shortly after each event.
Entries will close on the dates shown below and will be accepted on a highest rating first basis. #see below for details on over-subscribed events.
Where ratings are identical, rankings will be used to determine who plays should an event be over-subscribed. After the closing date late entries may be received subject to the draw not being complete. *
At the end of the Series the points for every player who has competed will be totalled. The top 8 players with the highest number of points who are available to play during the Tennis Masters Series Final weekend will be invited to play. Points accrued during the Series will no longer be relevant for the Masters Series weekend. In the event of a tie in the number of points, ratings and then rankings will determine the final positions. Seedings for every event will be on the basis of ratings followed by rankings. The final weekend will be run as a straight knockout with the mens and womens finals being played as a full three set matches on the Sunday.
On the basis that we receive at least 75% take up for the draws we have determined that the winner of the mens Tennis Masters Series will receive £150 and the runner up £75. For the women the entry levelis less but on the basis of 50% take up the winner will receive £100 and the runner up £50. The amounts may be reduced if entry levels fall below the percentages indicated above.
For future events we are looking for a sponsor so that we can not only increase but add some certainty to the prize money.
If you know of any organisation one who would wish to offer sponsorship in return for advertisement either at the events or on all our publicity including email and the website please let Donna know.
